Shivpuri Fort - Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.

 ABOUT

    The fort is located in Pohari Tehsil of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh, India. Thus, it is also known as Pohari Fort. The fort is built by King Khanderv, before 2100 years, which was once a very pleasant place.

 

    Its lawns were lushy green and the walls were decorated with motifs. Many tourists visit the place on a regular basis. Nowadays, the fort becomes the place which should not be visited alone at night. The spooky events happened many times there. Certain incidents frightened the children that they stopped visiting the fort.

 

    In the early times, the fort has excellence in its craftsmanship and architecture but after the death of Khanderv, the place had no family survived there.

        AIR :-    140 km from Gwalior Airport.

        TRAIN :-     130 km from Gwalior Junction.

HISTORY

    People say that the Mahfil occurred which was a meeting of Veer Khanderv with their dancers during the night. Souls take possession of the entire fort during the night as the fort is surrounded by dense bushes.

 

    Locals also said that the after the death of Veer Khanderv, no family were able to survive there. Once a lady stayed there with some daring but next day she began to do bizarre things which were later on vanished by tantras and mantras. Some had also claimed that the fort has some hidden treasure which is protected by some souls.

 

    People also claimed to hear some strange sounds of music and dance at regular intervals. No one should dare to stay at night as the sightings of spirits is a common tale there.

Claims And Myths

    Some years ago, a school was opened there. During the examination time, the students got the place to hide the cheats. So, they went there to copy from the cheats but they saw something strange. Later, one student died there mysteriously. After the incident, the school was shifted to a new location.

 

    Few years ago, two young men went there to explore about the fort but they found dead. The villagers had already warned them not to go even though they went there and died.
