 ABOUT

    Just off the Khairatabad flyover which was initially a science college, there is an ancient unimposing Tarapuri Building. Among the busiest areas of the city, it has a junction of five cross-roads which is known as Khairatbad circle. Those roads lead to Somajiguda, Ameerpet, Hussain sagar, Lakdi-ka-pul and Anandnagar. One such extension is Raj Bhavan Road, where the residence of the Governor of Telangana is located. 

 

    There are also significant institutes and organizations which includes the Institution of Engineers, Administrative Staff College of India, Road Transport Authority (RTA), TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO, HMWS&SB, Patel Building, Nasr School, Zilla Parishad, ZEE Telefilms, Press Club, Laymen's Evangelical Church Shadan Group of Educational Institutions etc. There was a lady named Khairunnissa whose tomb is located next to the Khairtabad Mosque however the access is to the back of the monument. 

 

    It is said that the area is named after Khairunnissa. Khair-un-Nissa was the wife of Captain James Achilles Kirkpatrick mentioned in the 2002 book White Mughals by William Dalrymple to whom this great tomb belongs. The 300-year-old Reddy house is also situated there. The Khairatabad Science College, Hyderabad has become all havoc now and is an accommodation of spirits too. 

 

    After all, what is this college and why it became one of the most haunted places in Hyderabad? The Khairatabad college had its days earlier as it was a science college. But now it has no strolling at all. When spotted from outside, the place completely looks like a spooky place. The people in the locality mention that there is some mystery of ghosts at this place as whenever someone goes inside it, doesn't come back ever.

HISTORY

    The building was abandoned, but the dead bodies were not disposed there properly. People who passed out by there have sighted the ghost or spirits. Even while going towards Masab Tank chowrasta towards Khairatabad, you will be able to see the building on the right side. Dogs are seen here in the campus. Claims And Myths

    On duty, two guards heard the sound of something strange everyday from the college, as they were calling for some excuses. They never dare to went inside the college. Once, a girl was crying inside the campus. So one of the guard went there to protect her but unfortunately there was no one inside and he didn't came out till morning. He found dead when other guard tried to find him.
