ABOUT
Golconda Fort, commonly known as 'Golkonda', was an early capital city of Qutb Shahi dynasty. It is located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The fort flourished as a trade center as it produces large diamonds known as "Golconda Diamonds".
It was originally known as Mankal, built in 13th century by Kakatiyas, the ruling dynasty of Andhra Pradesh. They built it for the western defense along the lines of Kondapalli Fort.

HOW TO REACH THE PLACE :-
Reaching Golconda fort is quite an easy task as it is well connected by road to the rest of the city. It is around 11 km away from the center of Hyderabad.
One can also travel by metro. The nearest metro station to Golconda fort is Peddamma Temple Metro Station and the Jubilee Hills Check Post Metro Station on the Blue line. Although there are upteem number of public transportatiom, one of the
best ways would be to hire a taxi and explore these tourists places.
HISTORY
Taramati and Premamati, were two sisters, who used to dance in the court of Abdullah Qutb Shah. Taramati was very beautiful and her skills of dancing were too amazing. She was also a melodious singer. Due to such talent, the voice of her reached to the Sultan by the soft breeze. So, the King fell in love with her.
After the death of Taramati, she was buried in a royal cemetery along with the Queens and Qutb Shahi Kings. Even today, there are some paranormal experience occurred which gives you the feeling that both King ans Taramati wander around the Fort. They were found at the place which is known as Taramati Baradari.

Claims And Myths
People claimed to see the dance of Taramati even after her death with her melodious voice. Many people had also claimed that they heard some strange voices and even they had seen some body-less shadow wandering around the fort.
There had been instances that the mischievous ghost turned the old photographs upside down. Utensils have often been seen hurling up against the wall of Kabootar Khana. The people had also seen the dreams of Taramati as a spirit after visiting that fort.
