HISTORY
The haunted story starts from the death of Nicholas who fell in love with an Indian women who continuously rejected his proposal even after so many efforts. Being depressed he shot himself in the head and committed suicide. Since then the spirit of Nicholas is seemed roaming around the cemetery and calling the name of his love in a very painful way. Second Story of Lothian Cemetery is not very clear but people claims to see a small English kid roaming around graves looking for someone.
Another mysterious story is that the graveyard initially before the 18th century belonged to the Muslim community where they used to bury their loved ones. Then the British found the place which was big and clean and so they decided to make it "Only British Cemetery". Before using they cleaned the land by removing all the dead bodies too. And so it is believed that Muslim spirits come to life in night and fight for their claim on this land.
Claims And Myths
As it turned out, there were no paranormal stories associated with the cemetery, no wailing ghost perched on top of the peepal tree, no wandering spirit in quest of unfulfilled revenge.
