 ABOUT

    Mukesh Mills is the only mill that was located in the South Mumbai. It was built on the shore of Arabian sea of Colaba region during the late 19th century. The mill was established by Muljibhi Madhvani who was the owner of East African Hardware Ltd.

    It has the large private docks where boats used to come and unload the bales of cotton and loading yards of cloth garments. It is just about 10 km far from Mumbai Central Railway Station and from Mumbai airport, you can easily catch a cab to reach there.

             Government Law College is 174 meters away, 3 min walk. 

            Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk is 344 meters away, 5 min walk.

 

HISTORY

    They started the renovation of their 10 acre property but unfortunately, they went out of the business of clothing and the mills were closed. Even after that the mill caught an unexpected fire by a tragedy in 1982 that became to close it forever. However, the reason of fire was still unexplained.

 

    There was a belief that there was spirit of a man in the mill who was died in a mill when the disastrous fire was caused. Due to that, he became a spirit. It is not sure fact but still a belief. Some also believe that the man was died in a tragic accident while working in the factory.

    The mill was possessed by some paranormal activities but till today, the mystery of the mill is not solved yet. The mystery regarding it are increasing day by day and people gave it more attention and the spirit is just saying to them to leave the place. You can also visit the place and can try to solve the mystery.

 

 

Claims And Myths

1.     The actress went there with the crew members for a shoot but suddenly she started to speak in a manly voice and told others to leave the place immediately. The crew got scared and decided to leave the place as they believe that the actress would be angry if they stayed there.
2.      A watchman has narrated that when he was leaving the place after his duty, he heard some kind of sweet music from inside. He even saw someone smoking inside the mill. He was too scared to check inside what was happening.
3.      The girl actress about 10 years old went there for shooting and she started walking in a strange way. She also started rolling on the ground and after going back to her home, she became normal.
