Three Kings Church - Goa, India.

 ABOUT

    The 3 Kings church is located in Cansaulim village, Goa, India situated at Celium Hill. It is 10 km far away from Dabolim Airport and 4 km far away from Cansaulim Railway Station. It is located in South Goa and just 10 km from the Vasco-Da-Gama town. The church is famous for feast of "Three Kings" celebrated every year on 6th January.

    HOW TO REACH THE PLACE :-

 

        The hill of Cuelim is located in a village called Cansaulim in South Goa. The hill is connected by road and it is better to hire a private cab or vehicle to visit this church. You can enjoy the place as it is one of the hidden jewels in the South of Goa.

 

     

 

HISTORY

    According to the history, the story relates about the 'Three Power Hungry Kings' who wanted to rule the place. These things had created unrest in the kingdom but the king has no attention on it.

    Once a King named Holger Alvunger made a plan to sabotage other ones. He invited the other two kings to discuss about the matter and find the solution to that problem. Unfortunately, other two were not knowing his conspiracy behind it. They came for the dinner and the king poisoned them both. The other died there.

    He announced that he was the ruler of the place. Locals get to know about the cruelty done by the king and started chasing him. In order to escape from the crowd, he accidentally ate the same poisoned food and died.

 

    The villagers buried the three bodies in the premises of this church. Since then, it is known as "Three Kings Church".

 

 

Claims And Myths

     The three kings church had some paranormal happenings there before. Some claimed it to see the phantom of the kings who were died there and there are numerous reports such as people walking around there and see it during late night. But the phantom presence had never harmed anyone. Just it is claimed to feel from there.
