    Dow Hill is situated at Kurseong city which is a city and a municipality in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India which is located at an altitude of 1,482.55 meters (4,864.0 ft), Kurseong is 32 kilometers from Darjeeling and has a pleasant climate throughout the year.

    Dow Hill is known as Haunted Place. Peoples experience paranormal activities in the Dow Hill. That makes Dow Hill one of the most Haunted Hill in India.

        Kurseong is 34 kilometers from Siliguri and is connected to the city by road and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The nearest airport is at Bagdogra Airport and the nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri. Bagdogra Air Port is 41 Kilometers far away from Kurseong city. And New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is 45 Kilometers far away from Kurseong city.

HISTORY

    Victoria Boys High School located on Dow Hill, is definitely one of the many Haunted Place in Kurseong. There are several stories about this school but all the incidents occur during the holiday season when the entire school is shut-down.

    Another believed to be haunted spot in Kurseong is Dow Hill and the forest surrounding it. As per the locals, while walking alone on the roads at Dow Hill, several people found themselves being followed by the headless zombie. Many people here feel that they are being followed and watched by someone. This feeling makes the person so depressed that it eventually leads to suicide. Dow Hill is infamous for the murders and suicides that have taken place here, of which there is no record of administration offices.

 

 

 

 Claims And Myths

    Some people mention seeing a boy standing at one of the windows, starting at them from the inside while the school was closed for holidays and there could not have been anyone inside. Many people claim that a headless boy was spotted on or near the school building.

 

    Some of the other tales about the Dow Hill forest are the usual tales of people hearing voices of a woman in white, red eyes staring out of the dark and many more of ghost tales that you would usually hear about several other places.
