When the Indian Revolt in 1857 was going on, a group of Indian soldiers attacked the palace hotel too. They broke into the mansion and killed the officer and his whole family who were living in the palace.

Then, the King of Kota recovered the dead bodies and buried them in the central hall of the palace. After some days, locals started hearing some spooky voices and strange figures. Thus, they believe that his spirit is residing there.

Claims And Myths

Some people have reported that they felt uneasy while sitting in the central hall or other specific areas of the hotel. People are generally advised to stay indoor at night and to avoid a walk or linger around the garden or terrace for the precaution. But the ghost is said to be harmless.
