 ABOUT

    Madras Christian College (MCC) is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India which was a school at first built by Rev. John Anderson from Scotland, in 1837. Later, it was upgraded to the college. Before moving to the present site, spread over 365 acres, the college stood as as institute of learning for century in Georgetown.

    The college is surrounded by lush greenery and is cloaked in an air of peace which prevents the outside disturbance. The college has the distinction of being one of the first in the country to be granted autonomy in 1978.

    Students like Dr. S Radhakrishnan, Indra Nooyi, Raja Ramanna, etc are the examples who graduated from there.

 

    HOW TO REACH THE PLACE :-

 

        The college is just at a distance of 12 km from the Chennai International Airport and 2 km far away from Chennai Railway Station.

 

 

 

 

HISTORY

    We have heard lot of the stories about the suicides of a person for love which fits as a ghost stories. So, similarly here there is a story about a boy who committed suicide in Herbers hall inside the campus after he was denied for love. The boy has been denied entry to the other worlds as he has been visiting the hall continuously ever since. Whenever he comes, he started joking, taps became open, smashing windows, etc activities were caught.

 

    Another story was about the statue of William Miller. It has been said that any student who tries to touch the mustache of a statue will suffer from an eerie feeling at least once while pursuing the course in the college. Whether it is a truth or just an excuse still remains a mystery!!!

 

 

 

 

Claims And Myths

1.    Once, a son's professor who resides there invited his friends to his home. Even after knowing his home, his friends lost his way and started coming back to that point again and again. They also saw some shapeless thing going away from them.
   
2.    Other story happened in the classroom A228, where a security guard opened the door and he found two boys lied unconscious there. The flashback story reveals that despite finding any other way to pass the examination, they decided to play Ouija board and to ask the spirit for helping them. So, they invite a spirit and they lost their heart when they felt his presence.
3.    The same questions which were going to be asked on that Monday exam was also found written on the blackboard of that classroom.
